School Calender 2014~2015

Dear Parents/Carers and Children,

As we come to a close on 2014-15 academic year and in somewhat of a reflective mode, we look back on a very busy year.  Some events challenging but the majority have been fantastic.  We held a wonderful Christmas concert for the foundation phase at Amelia Farm Trust which was extremely successful. The annual duck race was an astounding success.  The Summer fete was blessed with bright sunshine and a relax community feel with almost everyone attending from school and the local community.  A particular highlight for me was accompanying the year 6 children on a most incredible trip to Belgium.

As a school we have continued to see all children move along their education journey and for many achieve a good deal of success.

It is time to say goodbye to a truly amazing year 6, they have been such a wonderful year group and have been true abassadors for the school.  They will be missed but we are very proud to be sending such a mature group of students to Cowbridge Comp.

We are also very excited about welcoming our new reception children.  We have met with them several times and look forward to the beginning of September for their first day!

I hope you all have a wonderful break and I look forward to seeing you all again in September.  Have a relaxing, fun holiday.

It is very important for any parent/carer dropping off children to use the car-park near to the Fox and Hounds.  The safety of our children is paramount and we would urge you to take every precaution at drop-off and pick-up times.  It is much darker this time of the year which makes it more important to take care.  We would also encourage children to wear bright reflective colour to ensure they are seen.  Consideration also needs to be given to local residents who are very often inconvenienced by drives being blocked and the parking on private roads.

All children need to be brought to the office by parents when arriving late in the morning.

Any unwanted pins, needles, thread, embroidey silks, fabric scraps etc, for our Design Technology cupboard.
